National Spanish holidays 2020

Spain is devided into many different regions and each region has their own holidays. Every region also participates when there is a national holiday. The national holidays are determined by the Spanish government. The regional bank holidays are decided by regional governments. During these days many businesses are either closed or the businesses have different opening hours.

March 29th Clocks go forward

April 10th Good Friday

May 1st Workers Day

May 3rd Mothers day

August15th Assumption of Mary

October 12th Spanish National day 

October 25th Clocks go back

December 8th Immaculate Conception

December 25th Christmas Day

There are quite a few dates that are local holidays. This varies per region. Below you will see the dates for the Valencian region and the Alicante region.

June 9th Murcia day

December 7th An extra day because 3 kings falls on a Sunday this year
